im not a curry lover in general. but i really enjoyed the katsu curry. good prices for good food, cozy place and friendly atmosphere.

After sightseeing on this cold day, it was a perfect meal to warm up. Delicious food and friendly staf. We had the 4-curry plate, spinach curry and omelet curry. Try the additional nut oil! Thanks!

Amazing curry. They are located deep within the market but can easily be found using Google Maps. They can speak quite decent English and the menu is also available in English. They have good vegetarian options and various styles of curry. We had the hot one and it was spot on.

Unique Japanese curry with friendly family staff

The best curry. I was craving curry and found this place on Google. It was so good I ate here both days I was in Nara. The spicy lamb curry is amazing. Just the right amount of heat and seasoning. I tried the other curries too and while they were good, I still preferred the spicy lamb. If you like spicy food, lamb is the way to go. If you don't like spicy food, the chicken curry is also a good second choice.

Comfortable seatings, friendly staff and fantastic curry. The restaurant offers a variety of curries,all which are flavourful and goes well with rice. They also have an english menu. Highly recommended!

Easy to find. Vegetarian options are on separate page in the menu which has English text for everything. Took a salad and double veggie curry, portion size was quite right to fill me up after day in Nara park. Price is reasonable. Staff knows some English. Quantity of rice can be, adjusted (price drops down accordingly).

Very good vegetarian food. We tried both sesame rice curry and spinach Rice curry.. both were very tasty. Highly recommend this place.

A Japanese curry house that serves many different styles of curry. I really enjoyed the options of curry, allowing substitutions and levels of spiciness for certain curries. They also have local beers. Try the curry bread (カレーパン) if you are waiting for a table, or buy some to go when you leave, or both, like we did.

Very good curry, I got the double curry Goat and spinach plate with small rice. The prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious.

Katsu Shrimp curry was superb! The crispy crust is amazing! Not a fan of the omelette curry, somehow it tasted a little on the sour side.

I tried the curry for kids with stewed beef because I'm not very good with spicy food and the menu said 'spicy food'. It was very good. Next time I'll try a mild curry to push my boundaries, because this was very easy for me. I have a small stomach, so the portion was large for me, and very filling, but if you are a big eater they have large portions too, so that's perfect!Somehow, their water was also very very tasty.The staff was very kind.

Curry that is way different than the states but very tasty. Their draft beer and house sake is also very good. Very busy but efficient.

Wow! If you want traditional food, are really hungry and want to eat at a calm place then this is the restaurant! The cost is around 700Â¥-1200Â¥ and you will receive a big plate. They give you water as soon as you sit down at a table and you can press at a "door bell"-thing to call for the waitress instead of raising the voice to ask for help.I recommend their brown curry, and yes, the water melon beer is quite tasty and something that you never experienced before if you haven't been to Japan.

Had the chicken curry, and spinach curry and pork curry combo. Pork was divine, so was the chicken. Spinach curry wasn't the best. Nice local place, good service, jug of free tap water, good prices! Perfect for lunch. Not crowded.

Brilliant curry. Apt vegetarian options and a range of delicious non-vegetarian options. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked and the curry had the perfect consistency and balance of tanginess, flavour, spice and salt. The levels of spice and amount of rice served is flexible according to your desires. This was extremely convenient. The vegetables were simple and well cooked. The staff was polite and helpful, and considerate of our requirements. Service is quick and efficient and the atmosphere is sweet, quiet, relaxing and appealing. I really recommend this restaurant for lovely authentic Japanese food.

Delicious curry and a whole page of the menu for vegetarian options. They cost ¥980 each and portions were quite large and filling. Only downside was we ordered a baguette for ¥280 and it was just two quite small slices off of a baguette! Fantastic spot for lunch after a morning exploring Nara.

Had the double vegetarian curry and both were very tasty. The place is small so we had to queue to get in for a late lunch. There is a small selection of manga for when you wait. Located in a shopping area close to the main road to walk to the park etc.

Had the katsu curry and baked spinach curry. The food was amazing. The service was extremely exceptional as well. We were originally seated at the bar. But we soon found it small for us, we asked for a seat at the booth and was kindly escorted to the booth once one opened up. Great service!!

We got lamb curry(spicy) and katsu & shrimp fried curry. Totally different flavor of sauce and were both excellent. There were also lots of foreign customers coming to crave for the exotic dish!

Curry chicken was nice. The coconut milk was used well and the taste was similar to south East Asian curry. Good price.

The hashed beef omelette rice taste really good, the egg was cooked to perfection. The spinach curry is something different and taste great too! Worth to go if you visit Nara!

Great lamb curry. Baked curry was yum too. Chill atmosphere with English menu. Staff are suuuper nice.

Pork Katsu Curry was definitely great. Mild curry had a tinge of tomato in it, and we ordered the stewed beef to go with it which tasted good. Spinach curry was interesting but tasty, got it with the baked rice and ramen, both good. All in all, the curries had a unique taste that we haven't before tried in other Japanese curry places.

Loved it!! Choose from 3 vegetarian curries guaranteed no meat or fish. Heaven. However the ice cream with rusk and berry sauce is TO DIE FOR. I returned on my second day just so I could have it again.

This is a very good option for vegetarians. Really good curries. Curries are different but hint of Indian spices can be tasted. Prices are reasonable. While going back you must take out the curry bun for journey back. will definitely go back.

Wow some of the best curry I've ever eaten in my life! Recommend the mixed curry plate very oishii!
